OUR FABRIC

When developing our t-shirt, we set out to create a high‑quality garment while addressing the impact of conventional cotton on the planet and the people who grow it. We chose 100% Organic Cotton from a small family‑run farm that works with nature — enriching the soil, avoiding harmful chemicals, conserving water and energy, supporting local communities, and preserving fibre quality through hand‑picked harvesting.
So, what is Combed Cotton?
To honour this fibre quality, we took the cotton one step further with a process called 'Combing' carried out in Portugal. Before spinning, the fibres are carefully aligned and then combed to remove impurities and shorter strands, leaving only the longest and strongest fibres. This creates a cleaner, more uniform yarn — resulting in exceptional softness, long‑lasting durability and reduced pilling.

Behind the Graphic
We explored the rich history of the automotive industry in Britain as the foundation of our two graphics, which pay tribute to the excellence of British artistry and engineering that seamlessly blended the country's heritage with cutting-edge technology to create the word's finest automobiles, both for the road and the race track.
Evoking the spirit of a bygone era 'Motorman International' derives its name from a former Rolls-Royce specialised garage in London that thrived during the 1970s and 1980s. This garage was well-regarded for its comprehensive offerings, which included full servicing and repairs, valeting, and complete restorations as well as the installation of stereo sound equipment. The Rolls-trained engineers attended to each car as if it were their own.
The 'Motorman International' identity beautifully blends a classic serif font with a flowing, script-style typeface, creating an elegant, refined aesthetic. The serif logo typography lends an air of tradition, while the script fonts adds a touch of sophistication and flair.
The elegant crest adorning the left chest elevates the masterful typographic pairing. Atop the crest, a proud lion symbolises the brand's Scottish heritage, while a graceful, winged lady in the centre represents Britain's illustrious automotive legacy. Below the crest, the same classic serif font is used for the displayed 'Spirit Of The North' motto.
This piece serves as a nostalgic reminder to the time when the country's garages were hubs of innovation and craftsmanship.
